Archaeological Assessments and Permitting
We provide archaeological consulting services for projects across the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island, helping clients meet BC regulatory requirements while protecting archaeological resources. Our services include Preliminary Field Reconnaissance (PFR), Archaeological Overview Assessments (AOA), Archaeological Impact Assessments (AIA), and Site Alteration Permit (SAP) applications. From early project planning through regulatory review, we help identify archaeological potential, assess risk, and develop practical strategies to avoid, reduce, or manage impacts to archaeological sites.
Policy Planning & Training
We support projects through all stages of development with archaeological monitoring, chance find procedures, reporting, mapping, and regulatory guidance. Our team works with clients during construction and other ground-disturbing activities to help manage archaeological requirements, respond appropriately to unexpected discoveries, and maintain compliance with provincial standards. We also prepare clear technical reports, site maps, and supporting documentation, and provide guidance for working with government, research, academic, and funding partners. In addition, we offer Resources Information Standards Committee (RISC) training and practical support for responsible fieldwork and project planning in Coastal BC.
First Nations Services and Heritage Support
We work with First Nations to support community-led heritage planning, the protection of culturally important places, and informed decision-making related to land and resource use. Our services may include technical review of development referrals, collaborative fieldwork, site stewardship planning, archival and spatial research, and community-based training. We also support projects involving cultural heritage, research partnerships, and long-term land management priorities, with an approach grounded in respect, collaboration, and local knowledge.
